The Ascend Tools SFO-80353-2B combines the FO3S-853 Three Hole Fiber Cable Stripper and ATi-803 Kevlar Cutting Shears assembled in a convenient molded pouch with a belt loop. This is an essential toolkit for a fiber cable installation technician and fiber cable assembly house. Both tools are portable, small size, right / left hand friendly.

• FIBER OPTIC TOOL KIT: This kit includes 3 pieces, i) FO3S-853 5.5 inch fiber optic cable stripper, ii) FOC-851 5.5 inch Kevlar cutter and iii) nylon holster with belt loop. Both tools are needed to completely prepare the fiber cable for termination.
• CABLE PREPARATION WITH FIBER CABLE STRIPPER FO3S-853: Three hole fiber optic cable stripper has three different size notches to strip all three layers protecting fiber cable -- 2-3mm outer jacket down to buffer coating, 600-900 micron tight buffer coating down to 250m coated fiber, and third 250 micron cladding down to 125 micron bare fiber without scratching or damaging the fiber core itself. A convenient stripping guide is marked on the blade. Each of the three holes is precisely set to strip the three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding. Each cable stripper is tested for tolerance which is indicated on a label on the packaging.
• PRECISE KEVLAR CUTTING FOC-851: Designed specifically for cutting Kevlar yarn in fiber optic cables with precision and minimal effort. One blade is micro-serrated to avoid slippage and deliver precise cutting. It can, however, cut other composite materials such as Dyneema, Vectran, Spectra, Nomex, and other high-strength materials in thread, tape or fabric form.
• SUPERIOR QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Both tools are made from high carbon Japanese steel, the strippers and Kevlar cutter host sharp edged blades hardened to HRC 60-62 and require less force for stripping function. The handles are made from TPR for comfort and non-slip grip. They are spring loaded to reduce stress from repetitive cutting / stripping. A safety lock protects the blade as well as the user and allows the stripper to be easily stored when not in use.
• PORTABILITY: The stripper is small in size (5.5 inch / 138 mm) and light weight (2.4 oz / 68 grams). The Kevlar cutter is also compact (5.5 inch / 138 mm) and light weight (2.1 oz / 59 grams). The small and compact design is ideal for storage and for carrying in tool boxes as technicians move between job sites.
